Gifted to lead are words often used to describe Randy Hughes. His musical skill on guitar and his soothing, worshipful voice combine to pull his audience into true praise and effortless worship. He gets out of the way and lets the praise flow to the One to whom it belongs.
Randy has been a worship leader at his church in Asheville, NC for over seven years. He leads and teaches worship in small and large congregations and in conferences across the south. Randy is gifted in his ability to arrange songs and song dynamics in a way that allows worshipers to focus on the words of praise. Randy has performed with Darlene Zschech of Hillsong and lead worship at the Billy Graham Training Center at the Cove. Randy is a regular instructor at the Swannanoa Gathering on the campus of Warren Wilson College every summer. Randy is the owner of a stringed instrument repair shop that is certified with Martin, Gibson, Fender, Guild, Gretch and others. Randy has repaired guitars for Brad Paisley, David Holt, Al Pettiway, David Wilcox and many others. He works regularly with great guitar builders like Jim Olson, Kevin Ryan, Jeff Traugott and Patrick Eggle. For the last several years, Randy has been a consultant for McPherson Guitars.
